【摘要】:DescribestheportionofthePowerLineorRFPhysicalLayerthatinterfacestotheMediumAccessControl(MAC)SublayerandtoLayerSystemManagement(LSM).ThissublayeriscalledthePowerLine/RFSymbolEncoding(PL/RFSE)Sublayer.ThePL/RFSESublayerprovidestwoprimaryfunctions:(1)Acceptssymboltransmissionrequests(PHCCDATA.requestserviceprimitive)fromtheMACSublayer,convertsthesymbolsintocorrectmediumstatechangetiming(spreadspectrumwaveforms),andproducesrequests(MSTATE.request)forstatechangesonthephysicalmedium.Thisfunctionissymbolencoding.(2)Acceptsstatechangeindications(MSTATE.indicationserviceprimitive)fromtheControlChannelMediumDependentPhysical(MDP)Sublayer,convertsthetimebetweenstatechangestosymbols,andproducesindicationsofsymbolreception(PHCCDATA.indication)fortheMACSublayer.Thisfunctionissymboldecoding.
