【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofselectedelementsinmiddledistillatefuelsbyinductivelycoupledplasmaatomicemissionspectrometry(ICP-AES).Thespecificelementsarelistedin.Theconcentrationrangeofthistestmethodisapproximately0.1to2.0mg/kg.Thetestmethodmaybeusedforconcentrationsoutsideofthisrange;however,theprecisionstatementsmaynotbeapplicable.Middledistillatefuelscoveredinthistestmethodhavealldistillationfractionscontainedwithintheboilingrangeof150to390C.Thisincludes,butisnotlimitedto,dieselfuelsandaviationturbinefuels.Thistestmethodisnotintendedtoanalyzeinsolubleparticulates.However,verysmallparticulatematter(smallerthanamicrometre)willbecarriedintotheplasmaandbeincludedinthequantitativeanalysis.Thistestmethodmaygivearesultthatishigherthanthetruevalueifananalyteispresentinthesampleinaformwhichissufficientlyvolatile.Forexample,hexamethyldisiloxanewillgenerateabiasedhighresultforsilicon.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:Knowledgeofthepresenceofsulfurinpetroleumproducts,especiallyfuels,helpspredictperformancecharacteristics,potentialcorrosionproblems,andvehicleemissionlevels.Inaddition,someregulatoryagenciesmandatereducedlevelsofsulfurinreformulatedtypegasolines.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthequantitativedeterminationoftotalsulfuringasolineandgasoline-oxygenateblends.ThePooledLimitofQuantitation(PLOQ)wasdeterminedtobe15mg/kg.Therefore,thepracticalrangeforthistestmethodisfrom15to940mg/kg.Note18212;Thisconcentrationrangeisbasedonthatusedintheinterlaboratoryroundrobin,whichshowsthattherangeofsulfurintheroundrobinsampleswasfrom1.5to940mg/kg;however,below15mg/kg,thereproducibilityapproaches100%oftheconcentration.1.2Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationpriortouse.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thepreferredunitsaremg/kgsulfur.
