【摘要】:Thistestmethodprovidesacoolingtimeversustemperaturepathwaythatisdirectlyproportionaltophysicalpropertiessuchasthehardnessobtainableuponquenchingofametal.Theresultsobtainedbythistestmethodmaybeusedasaguideinquenchantselectionorcomparisonofquenchseveritiesofdifferentquenchants,neworused.1.1Thistestmethodcoverstheequipmentandtheprocedureforevaluationofquenchingcharacteristicsofaquenchingfluidbycoolingratedetermination.1.2Thistestmethodisdesignedtoevaluatequenchingfluidswithagitation,usingtheTensiagitationapparatus.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
