【摘要】:ThispartofISO10333specifiestherequirements,testmethods,instructionsforgeneraluse,marking,packagingandmaintenanceforfull-bodyharnesses(FBH).ThemainpurposeofaFBHistoallowtheusertoconnectintoapersonalfall-arrestsystem(PFAS),whichwillbespecifiedinafutureInternationalStandard(seeISO10333-6intheBibliography),suchthatifanarresttakesplace,thearrestingforcewillnotexceed6kN.ForthepurposesofthispartofISO10333,FBHmayhaveattachmentelementsthatallowtheusertoconnectintoothertypesofsafetyoraccesssystem,forexampleawork-positioningsystem,acontrolleddescent/ascentsystemoraconfined-spaceaccesssystem.ThispartofISO10333includesrequirementsforsuchattachmentelements.ThispartofISO10333isapplicableonlytoFBHlimitedtosingle-personuseofatotalmassnotexceeding100kg.NOTEUsersoffall-protectionequipmentwhosetotalmass(includingtoolsandequipment)exceeds100kgareadvisedtoseekadvicefromtheequipmentmanufacturerregardingthesuitabilityoftheequipment,whichmayneedadditionaltesting.ThescopeofthispartofISO10333doesnotextendto:a)waistbeltsorchestharnesses:suchequipmentisnotconsideredassafetouseinpersonalfall-arrestsystems(PFAS);b)allothertypesofharnessesthatarenotdesignedprimarilyforuseinPFAS;c)otherspecialrequirementsforFBH,peculiartouseinacontrolleddescent/ascentsystemoraconfined-spaceaccesssystem;d)anyassessmentofcompatibilityorsuitabilityinrespectoftheperformanceofFBHinacontrolleddescent/ascentsystemoraconfined-spaceaccesssystem.ThispartofISO10333doesnotspecifythoseadditionalrequirementsthatwouldapplywhenharnessesaresubjectedtospecialconditionsofuse(where,forexample,thereexistunusuallimitationsconcerningaccesstotheplaceofworkand/orparticularenvironmentalfactors).Thustreatmentstoensurethedurabilityofthematerialsofconstruction(suchasheattreatment,anti-corrosiontreatment,protectionagainstphysicalandchemicalhazards)arenotspecifiedinthispartofISO10333,butshouldcomplywithappropriateInternationalStandardsor,failingthat,withnationalstandardsandotherspecificationsdealingwithrelevantphysicalcharacteristicsand/orthesafetyofusers.Inparticular,whenitisconsiderednecessarytotestthecorrosionresistanceofmetallicpartsoftheequipment,referenceshouldbemadetoISO9227.
