本标准规定了油锯声功率级的测定方法。本标准提供了在标准化条件下测定、标示和验证主要用于林业的油锯的声功率级所必需的全部信息。本标准的使用确保声功率级测定值的再现性。声功率级的精度在声功率级测定的基础噪声标准所规定的范围内。按照本标准，声功率级测定的首选方法是工程法（2级精度）。

【摘要】:ThetestmethodisbasedonamodificationoftheAmesSalmonellamutagenesisassay.Asmodified,thereisgoodcorrelationwithmouseskin-paintingbioassayresultsforsamplesofrawandrefinedlubricatingoilprocessstreams.Mutagenicpotencyinthismodifiedassayandcarcinogenicityintheskin-paintingbioassayalsocorrelatewiththecontentof3to7ringPNAs,whichincludepolynucleararomatichydrocarbonsandtheirheterocyclicanalogs.ThestrengthofthesecorrelationsimpliesthatPNAsaretheprincipalmutagenicandcarcinogenicspeciesintheseoils.SomeofthemethodsthathaveprovidedevidencesupportingthisviewarereferencedinAppendixX1.1.1ThistestmethodcoversamicrobiologicaltestprocedurebasedupontheSalmonellamutagenesisassayofAmesetal()(seealsoMaronetal()).Itcanbeusedasascreeningtechniquetodetectthepresenceofpotentialdermalcarcinogensinvirginbaseoilsusedintheformulationofmetalworkingoils.Personswhoperformthistestshouldbewell-versedintheconductoftheAmestestandconversantwiththephysicalandchemicalpropertiesofpetroleumproducts.1.2Thetestmethodisnotrecommendedasthesoletestingprocedureforoilswhichhaveviscositieslessthan18cSt(90SUS)at40C,orforformulatedmetalworkingfluids.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareprovidedforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Sectionprovidesgeneralguidelinesforsafeconductofthistestmethod.
