【摘要】:ThispartofBS8100givesrecommendationsforprocedurestobeusedtodeterminetheloadingforthedesignorappraisaloffree-standingtowerstructuresoflatticeconstruction.WhilstSection3andSection4areapplicabletotheloadingofguyedmasts,thegustresponsefactorscontainedinSection5shouldnotbeusedforthedesignofsuchstructures.UntilsuchtimethatthispartofBS8100isextendedtocoverguyedmasts,recourseshouldbemadetopublishedsourcestodeterminetheirresponsetogustloading.Inaddition,thesafetyfactorssetoutinSection2maybeinappropriatetoguyedmastsandshouldonlybeusedforgeneralguidancepurposes.Theproceduresgivenprimarilyapplytobolted,riveted,orweldedmetallicstructuresofupto300mheightandcomposedoflegmembersandtriangulatedbracings,buttheyalsoencompasstowersofgeodeticform.Section5maybeinappropriatefortowersofVierendeelform,duetotheirstiffnesscharacteristics.Theresponseofsuchtowersshouldbedeterminedusingpublishedsources.ThispartofBS8100coversdeadloadsandwindandiceloading.Othersuperimposedloadsarenotcoveredand,whereappropriate,shouldbeconsidered.ThispartofBS8100isapplicabletostructuresintheUKforwhichspecificmeteorologicaldataaregiven.GuidanceisalsoprovidedontheuseofthispartofBS8100forstructuresinothercountries.ThispartofBS8100isbasedontheprinciplesoflimitstatedesignandthepartialsafetyfactorsgivenareappropriateonlyfortowersdesignedinaccordancewiththisstandard.AflowchartindicatingthedesignprocedureusingthispartofBS8100isgivenonaseparatesheetprovidedwiththisstandard.NOTEThetitlesofthepublicationsreferredtointhisstandardarelistedontheinsidebackcover.
